Welcome to My Harley Davidson Home Page! The History At about 19,000 miles,in 1983, I had a head on collision on Third Avenue and 18th street in Manhattan. I was off the road for several months, the bike was off the road for several years.. I moved to Florida in 1984 and got the bike re-built by Seminole Harley Davidson in 1986. A low rider frame was used and the windshield/faring and bags are now gone. The bike was ridden sparingly from then on. Not For Sale - not yet anyway After many months and many dollars my bike is back. All new top end, pistons, valve guides, etc. Upgraded for my little girl with a sissy bar, rear foot pads and a scooped out back seat so she sits a little more snug.
All the aluminum has been polished to look like chrome, all black painted areas re-painted hi-gloss black and the tanks and fenders painted purple.
New wind screen, all new chrome nuts and bolts, new ignition switch with a key (didn't have one of those) and new front hub cap.
New pipes which sound great.
When I'm not traveling I pick up my little girl from school and we ride for awhile in the afternoons. Bike is running great and looking forward to making it to Bike Week 2005. Many thanks to Bruce and Dave at Dave's Cycle in Winter Park, FL they gave my bike the extra care it needed and even donated some parts, to the cause. I appreciate that. They're my bike guys from now on. This bike was running great before I got the work done, now fuhgedaboutit! This engine gives you the feeling you can take this bike anywhere you need and it won't let you down. |
